Here are some of the key features:

• You can organize your bookmarks in folders. Special "Offline bookmarks" can be used to save a web page so it can be displayed later without an internet connection.
• The "Scrollpad" feature can be used to scroll within large web sites extremly fast.
• You can protect the access to iCab Mobile with a password. If access is protected with a password you can also enable a guest mode which allows resticted access to bookmarks and searchengines and blocks/hides access to private data like History, form data, cookies etc.
• Page-Compression via "Google Mobilizer" is supported. Useful if you want to or have to save bandwidth.
• It is possible to open the displayed/linked page in an external app which can open the page (like Safari, but also the native YouTube app when visiting a YouTube video page) .
• You can configure iCab Mobile to use smaller toolbars to save screen space.
• There are different color schemes available. You can even select different schemes for the normal mode and the guest mode.
• You can easily access the previously visited sites (History)
• You can access all the web sites that are found in the addressbook
• Support for Tabs. You can open links in new Tabs, in the current Tab or let the web page decide where to open links. You can also let the app open Tabs in the background.
• The Fullscreen mode hides all toolbars so the web page can use the whole screen.
• Privacy Settings: Private Browsing mode where nothing is stored in the history. Delete history and cookies manually at any time or automatically when quitting.
• The download manager allows to download any file from the web. These files can be transfered to the Mac/PC and also displayed directly in iCab if the iPhone OS supports these file types (like audio, video, text, pictures)
• Searching is one of the most important actions in the internet. Therefore iCab Mobile provides same very powerful search features. You select between different search engines when searching in the internet. The list of search engines can be extended very easy, just open a web page with a search form and touch the button "Add To Search Engines". You can not only search for web sites, you can also search within the content of a web site.
• Filling out certain forms (for example for login-forms) over and over again using the virtual keyboard of the iPhone is nothing you want to do. iCab Mobiles lets you save the forms you've filled out manually so the next time you have to fill out the form, you can let iCab Mobil do this for you.
• iCab Mobile supports Filters (URL-based filters). The app comes with a list of filters which do filter out many advertisng banners. This list can be editied, so you can add new filters or remove/deactivate extisting ones.
• The URL completion feature helps you entering URLs in the URL field. Based on the letters you've typed in, you'll get a list of URLs from the history or bookmarks, which contain your input.
• The app can start with a certain homepage but can also restore the web pages that were open when the app has quit before.
• There's a build-in "help" which explains all the settings and features. tap the tools/settings icon at the bottom right to find the "help".

Hier sind einige der Hauptfeatures:

• Lesezeichen können in Ordnern organisiert werden. Spezielle Offline-Lesezeichen erlauben das Speichern von Web-Seiten, so daß sie später auch ohne Internet-Verbindung wieder angezeigt werden können.
• Ein "Scrollpad" ermöglichst das schnelle Scrollen innerhalb großer Web-Seiten.
• Passwortschutz für iCab Mobile und ein "Gästemodus" mit Einschränkung bzgl. sicherheitsrelevanter Daten (keine History, kein Speichern von Cookies, Zugriff nur auf speziell ausgewählte Bookmarks)
• Seitenkomprimierung durch Google Mobilizer wird unterstützt. Hilfreich wenn man Bandbreite sparen will/muss.
• Die besuchte Webseite oder Links können direkt in anderen Apps geöffnet werden, die mit der jewiligen Web-Seite etwas anfangen können. Z.B. kann eine YouTube-Video-Seite direkt im nativen YOuTube-App des iPhone geöffnet werden.
• Die Toolbars können verkleinert werden, so daß mehr Platz für die Web-Seite übrig bleibt.
• Verschiedene Farbschemata können ausgewählt werden (sogar unterschiedliche für den normalen und den Gäste-Modus).
• Es gibt eine History mit den zuletzt besuchten Web-Seiten
• Man kann auf Wunsch auch auf die im Adressbuch gespeicherten Web-Adressen zugreifen
• Unterstützung für Tabs. Links können in neuen Tabs oder im aktuellen Tab geöffnet werden, oder man lässt die Web-Seiten entscheiden, wo Link geöffnet werden. Tabs können sogar im Hintergrund geöffnet werden.
• Der Vollbild-Modus blendet alle Leisten aus, so daß die Web-Seite den kompletten Bildschirm einnehmen kann.
• Privatsphäre: Beim privaten Surfen werden keine Seiten mehr in der History gespeichert. History und Cookies können jederzeit manuell oder auch automatisch beim Beenden gelöscht werden.
• Der Download-Manager erlaubt den Download beliebiger Dateien. Diese Dateien können dann später auf den PC/Mac übertragen werden. Im Falle von Bildern, Texten, Videos und anderen, vom iPhone OS unterstützten Dateiformaten, können die Dateien auch direkt auf dem Gerät betrachtet werden.
• Das Suchen ist einer der wichtigsten Tätigkeiten im Internet. Daher bietet iCab Mobile einige mächtige Such-Funktionen. Bei jeder Suche können Sie aus verschiedenen Suchmaschinen wählen, über die die Suche abgewickelt werden soll. Diese Liste der Suchmaschinen kann sehr einfach erweitert werden (einfach eine Web-Seite mit Suchfunktion öffnen, dann auf den Knopf "Als Suchmaschine sichern" tippen, fertig. Danach kann man aus dem Suchdialog auch über diese neue Web-Seite suchen). Es ist nicht nur möglich, nach Web-Seiten zu suchen, sondern auch direkt im Inhalt der aktuell angezeigten Web-Seite.
• Das Ausfüllen von Formularen (z.B. Login-Formulare) ist lästig, insbesondere mit der virtuellen Tastatur. iCab Mobile kann hier helfen, indem es erlaubt, ein einmal manuell ausgefülltes Formular zu speichern. Bei einem späteren Besuch der Seite können Sie auf Knopfdruck das Formular dann von iCab Mobile mit den gespeicherten Formulardaten ausfüllen lassen.
• iCab Mobile unterstützt Filter (URL-basierte Filter). Das Programm wird mit einer Liste von Filtern geliefert, welche viele Werbebanner ausfiltern. Diese Liste kann bearbeitet werden, so daß man neue Filter hinzufügen, bzw. existierende Filter löschen oder deaktivieren kann.
• Die automatische URL-Vervollständigung macht während der Eingabe im URL-Feld Vorschläge (aus den Lesezeichen und der History), aus denen Sie URLs dann auswählen können, ohne allzuviel tippen zu müssen.
• Das Programm kann wahlweise beim Start die zuletzt angezeigten Seiten/Tabs wieder herstellen oder auch eine spezielle "Homepage" laden.
• Eine eingebaute "Hilfe" erklärt alle Einstellungen und Features. Die Hilfe finden Sie, wenn Sie auf den "Werkzeuge/Einstellungen"-Button ganz unten rechts tippen.
